When the Honey & Oak team reached out to me with a concept for an online boutique that changes product & theme every month, I was hooked. Their concept is simple and elegant: a limited selection of one-of-a-kind handmade or found (curated) items. Each collection is cohesive and fits the overall theme, which changes seasonally. Take a look at Honey & Oak's home page now... you never know what you might find! Honey & Oak's vision was simple but clear: a strong image-driven online store with lots of clear, cohesive photography that establishes the brand and feel of each season's theme and creates loyalty with online customers. Because the theme changes frequently, customers will want to come back every month to see the latest offerings. Here's what I did for Honey & Oak:
Photography: Every product, from every angle, in use and in action with a beautiful model, during a styled shoot. Each photo needed to tell a story and contribute to the overall branding of the store. Logo Design: The Honey & Oak logo is an original design based on an art installation one of their artisans saw recently. The design needed to feel organic, handmade, balanced and feminine. Online Store Set Up: Shopify is one of the most popular e-commerce platform's for a reason: they know what their clients need. Honey & Oak's online storefront can process payments, collect client information, beautifully display product images and modifers (such as size and color), and keep track of inventory, so store keepers never oversell. Honey & Oak chose a Shopify theme, which I then customized with a home page layout, and all the beautiful photos from our first styled shoot. I also added pages and dropdown menus to help store visitors easily shop collections. Comments are closed.
