This was an early spring shoot to create spring and summer content for Zachari Dunes Resort at Mandalay Beach. This property is extra special because it is nestled on a picturesque stretch of sand dunes between Malibu and Ventura, California. It's accessible as an easy getaway for both the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara crowds. The area feels sleepy, and the beach is quiet and uncrowded even on weekends (so shhh! Don't tell anyone!)
For this shoot, we focuses on mostly family, girls trip, and guys trip storytelling: lunch, pool hangs, beach time. The image set is a mix of lifestyle, sense of place, detail, with and without people. The intended purpose of these photos is for reel covers, instagram posts, social and targeted ads and even print. The talent (in this case) is a mix of real families and hotel staff.    The goal here was a sense of place for Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara. This gallery captures views of the facility and the surrounding neighborhood (including the beach!) the restaurance, foyer, landscaping, pool, fountains, entryway and more. These photos will be used for social media, website, print and digital promotion for years to come.
At Hotel Amarano in Burbank, their rooms are inspired by Hollywood glamour with touches of equestrian elegance and the feeling of a globetrotter arriving home. They seem to have anticipated your every whim and desire, with unforgettable entrees and cocktails for every hour of the day, unfussy staff who welcome you like a friend, and activities for going out (bikes!) or staying in (pool!)
I always love working with hotels, but this is a particularly fun connection and I'll definitely be returning sometime soon.

Brittany is up to big things in the real estate world! You can learn more about her background on the Bigger Pockets podcast (started investing in real estate at 18 and DIY-ed her way through renovation after renovation) and now regularly speaks on the big stages at real estate investor conventions. She's the real deal and she generously shares tips, education, and encouragement through her social accounts. That's where this photoshoot comes in. It takes a lot of behind the scenes work to keep cranking out quality content in the form of posts, reels, and stories. So Brittany and I worked together to plan an epic day of content creation. In one afternoon, she and I, together with one epic house in Malibu (listed here on Peerspace!), and a pile of outfit changes banked loads of quality high resolution photos (mostly for stills, posts, and stories) as well as plenty of video content (shot on iPhone because it's all about hitting the easy button!). A brand photo-video session like this is essential for any content creator to develop a library of quality, relevant images that you can use year round for a variety of purposes. This physical therapist and sports recovery office in Westlake Village, CA, needed some new images to refresh their website and tell the story of the many excellent services and people involved with their business. On a busy weekday, I showed up and documented Brett's staff and a few willing regular clients as they ran through a typical range of services. In 2 hours we covered a mix of facility photography (details and wide shots), lifestyle (clients in action), editorial images (useful for banner images and evergreen promo pieces), and headshots of the whole team.  Pasea Hotel and Spa's annual Easter brunch is a must-go event for the whole family (if you want to meet a human-sized Easter bunny, that is).
 Pasea Hotel and Spa is a dog friendly Huntington Beach surf hotel (I can't believe I just wrote that sentence about a real place). Basically it's heaven. Here are a bunch of shots from their annual "Pupchella" event that is basically exactly as it sounds: dogs and live music. Like I said... heaven.
Nothing says summertime like ocean waves, tacos, cocktails, and... roller skating?!? At Pasea Hotel and Spa in Huntington Beach, that's exactly right. These fun-lovin' photos highlight the easy breezy good times had by all at the annual roller skating rink at Pasea Hotel and Spa that pops up every summer. Here for a good (disco) time, not a long time. Don't miss out on your chance to limbo under a disco ball right next to the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean.
Nichole is a therapist, coach, and somatic counselor based in the bay area and working with clients around the world. She creates videos, works with clients remotely, and blogs on her website www.nicholeproffitt.com For her brand photo session, she primarily needed images to use on her website. Even more than standard headshots, she needed images that introduce her to her clientele and represent the sort of work she does, ultimately attracting the right clients for her. We decided to shoot in a variety of settings, all in one day: a sidewalk cafe, a hiking trail, and a beachfront walking park. She brought props and outfit changes and a friend and we all had a great time producing beautiful images that Nichole will use for years to come!   Being an Orange County hotel photographer has its perks... like great views of the ocean, balconies overlooking the pool, and steaming mugs of black coffee enjoyed for hours in downstairs lobby nooks. Someone at Pasea Hotel & Spa had their thinking cap on during COVID, because they came out with the best idea of the summer: rooftop concerts, exclusively for the enjoyment of hotel guests on their balconies. All you need is a room service dessert and a glass of champagne and you have the best box seat in town for LA's up and coming talent.
