For this brand photography photoshoot with psychologist, Delaney Menell, we opted for an urban setting to reflect Delaney's approachable, casual style. She brought a ton of fun outfits and props to make good use of our time and we planned to capture a solid mix of headshots as well as evergreen content-type images she can use on her website, online ads, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more. The majority of Delaney's sessions are carried out through video calls, so her primary touch points with clients are digital. To that end, she wanted to make sure to develop a line of images she can use in her email newsletter to current and prospective clients as well.

Laguna Cliffs Resort & Spa offers a variety of wonderful amenities to their guests and neighbors. During our content shoot it was fun to see so many community members walking in the park adjacent to the hotel and attending the morning yoga class on the lawn. This photo shoot was planned and executed with talent provided through Laguna Cliffs' PR partner. The images are intended for use in the hotel's social media and digital marketing strategy (might even wind up on the website as needed). All images were shot on location at Laguna Cliffs Resort & Spa, a Marriott property in Dana Point, California.

Laguna Cliffs Marriott was in need of photography assets for their social and digital marketing strategy. We put together a shoot that featured the many beautiful amenities of the resort, including the restaurant, spa, fire pit, wine tasting, and breakfast patio. I worked with Laguna Cliffs' PR partner to plan and execute this shoot on location at Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point, Calif.
This was an early spring shoot to create spring and summer content for Zachari Dunes Resort at Mandalay Beach. This property is extra special because it is nestled on a picturesque stretch of sand dunes between Malibu and Ventura, California. It's accessible as an easy getaway for both the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara crowds. The area feels sleepy, and the beach is quiet and uncrowded even on weekends (so shhh! Don't tell anyone!)
For this shoot, we focuses on mostly family, girls trip, and guys trip storytelling: lunch, pool hangs, beach time. The image set is a mix of lifestyle, sense of place, detail, with and without people. The intended purpose of these photos is for reel covers, instagram posts, social and targeted ads and even print. The talent (in this case) is a mix of real families and hotel staff.  This creative, thoughtful, high-touch leadership development company needed a website just as hand-crafted and artful as the services they provide. We opted to use Wix's platform to develop this website because of all the creative control it gives in the design and creation process.
The website features a wild use of color and texture through organic shapes and soft curving lines. We used bold color and text where necessary to convey mastery and trust. We used photos (with color overlays to keep with the color palette) to convey the human element. The custom logo also evokes playfulness combined with sleek minimalist professionalism through the use of soft lines and whimsical shapes together with a strong typeface.  Check out this beautiful home on the web for this Texas-based life coach. I've noticed that many coaches and therapists don't know where to start when they begin offering their services to the world. Is it on socials? Is it an email? Is it a website? I find that a website is a great place to start for several reasons. 1) Think of a website as you online 24-hour marketing team that tells the world what you do, even while you sleep. 2) Getting words organized on a website is a great way to help you tighten up your branding and marketing message. Specifically articulating what you offer and what problems those products/services solve is an essential stage in developing your business. A website will help you do just that. 3) A website is an advocate. It makes you look like a legit company. Once you have a website, you're not just some guy or gal doing this hustle on the side. Brand and social content shoot for real estate investor, Brittany Arnason (@investorgirlbritt on Instagram)
Brittany is up to big things in the real estate world! You can learn more about her background on the Bigger Pockets podcast (started investing in real estate at 18 and DIY-ed her way through renovation after renovation) and now regularly speaks on the big stages at real estate investor conventions. She's the real deal and she generously shares tips, education, and encouragement through her social accounts. That's where this photoshoot comes in. It takes a lot of behind the scenes work to keep cranking out quality content in the form of posts, reels, and stories. So Brittany and I worked together to plan an epic day of content creation. In one afternoon, she and I, together with one epic house in Malibu (listed here on Peerspace!), and a pile of outfit changes banked loads of quality high resolution photos (mostly for stills, posts, and stories) as well as plenty of video content (shot on iPhone because it's all about hitting the easy button!). A brand photo-video session like this is essential for any content creator to develop a library of quality, relevant images that you can use year round for a variety of purposes. This physical therapist and sports recovery office in Westlake Village, CA, needed some new images to refresh their website and tell the story of the many excellent services and people involved with their business. On a busy weekday, I showed up and documented Brett's staff and a few willing regular clients as they ran through a typical range of services. In 2 hours we covered a mix of facility photography (details and wide shots), lifestyle (clients in action), editorial images (useful for banner images and evergreen promo pieces), and headshots of the whole team.
