Pepperdine's Caruso School of Law is a top-ranked institution located in a world-famous city. Together with the law school's marketing team, I shot many of the photos that adorn this issue of The Brief, Pepperdine Law's periodical. In order to evoke an elegant balance of slick professionalism and approachable humanity, we set up several shoots both on campus and around Malibu over the course of several days. The intention of the project was to capture the student experience inside and outside the classroom, as well as the top-level scholarship and professional chops that make this institution so special.

Socal Teen Camp is an awesome Christian summer camp for teens around Southern California that takes place every year in Idyllwild, California. Socal Teen Camp needed a summer camp website designed that communicated information about the logistics of camp, captured camper registrations and payments, and allowed the camp directors to broadcast important information such as packing lists, last minute announcements, and more. Check out this awesome summer camp website in action here >> or scroll down to scope out the home page.
Clean Republic is a brand new cleaning and disinfectant supply company that aims to make a splash in the consumer industry, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic season, when families are taking a new look at how and what they clean. In order to tell their story online via social media and web in a compelling way, it was absolutely essential to have a robust library of photo assets that showcase the product in use, as well as the vision, values, ethos, and aesthetic of the company. They shipped me a box of product with a few specific requests: show cleaning of high touch areas and items, groceries and supplies, the product application to home fitness and any where else around the house that you're inspired to snap photos.
Here are the commercial photos that emerged for Clean Republic's product line: clean and simple photos, lightly stylized, uncluttered backgrounds, and authentic storytelling.
Here we've got a beautiful set of event coverage photos, showcasing one of the many awesome events Pepperdine University held to encourage students, staff and the broader community to build community around a common goal: fundraising. For Pepperdine's annual Give2Pepp day, a week full of festivities rolls out, bringing the community together and encouraging individuals to make their gifts—large and small—count for a bigger purpose.
One of these events was free In-N-Out for all takers. Students and staff lined up to have fun giving to the university and scarf down double-doubles in return.
You can support Pepperdine University's Give2Pepp campaign year round by donating via Venmo to @give2pepp
This set of photojournalist-style event photos showcases the details, setting, and experience of an event at Pepperdine's Caruso School of Law back in March. Pepperdine University relies on gifts from individual donors to support scholarships and the many meaningful programs they offer their students. To that end, once a year, the university encourages its community (students, staff, and friends) to give back through the Give2Pepp campaign. These images will be used for digital and print storytelling, social media, and to promote giving in future years.

Pasea Hotel is a resort and spa located in Orange County's Huntington Beach, California. Their commercial photography needs included social media content, high-resolution images for use in web banners, digital campaigns, emails, and print pieces.
These photos were captured by me and my husband (assistant photographer for these purposes) during a one-night stay. The purpose of the shoot was to document setting and detail images from the perspective of the hotel's clientele. To that end we enjoyed all the amenities the hotel had to offer, from the restaurant to the pool to the many lounges and cafe spaces, as well as a suite.
Pasea Hotel is a world class resort located in Huntington Beach, CA. The vibe is upscale=surfer-friendly. And if that sounds like a contradiction in terms, just imagine glancing up from your luxurious pool time (post-gastro brunch and pre-spa treatment) to see freshly used wetsuits drip-drying from the balcony railing of one of the suites. That's what I'm talking about. Located on the strip in Huntington Beach, with countless palm trees swaying in the breeze, the spacious grounds of Pasea offer plenty of hiding spots onsite, and that's not to mention the countless coffee shop and sidewalk bistro table hangs within walking distance.
And for the Angelenos who are sad they can't plan a trip to come stay at Pasea.... have you ever heard of a staycation? But don't let me try to talk you into it. See for yourself on Pasea's website >>
And these photos? Just a set of gorgeous lifestyle pics for Pasea's social, web, print, and digital marketing purposes (yes, I love my job).
Staying in a French chateau such as the elegant and historic Château de Marçay is a once in a lifetime experience. With history as a fortress dating back to the eleventh century, the chateau is filled with stone-hewn spiraling staircases and circular rooms built into its fortified walls. But the individually decorated and themed rooms boast inviting furnishings, marshmallow-soft beds, and plush robes. We had a delightful stay at the chateau, enjoying a memorable dinner and a delightful morning at the chateau before continuing on to Paris.
Stephanie Moustakas' line of fine, quality, but oh-so-wearable jewelry is going to take the moms on the go world by storm. But first, she needed a ton of great product and lifestyle images to round out her website. Using the backdrop of her home, her sample pieces, and her kiddos (when they were in the mood) we shot a heap of images that will live on her website as category images, headers, and social media content to get this jewelry line launched right. Want to score some to die for pieces for yourself or someone you know? Head over to https://stephaniemoustakas.com/ to place your order today!
What the heck is a meditasting? Part meditation, part champagne tasting, I can't explain it any better than Forbes magazine did on their list of "Most Unusual Wine Experiences in Los Angeles" :
"Only in California would someone think to mix champagne with channeling your mantra. Malibu Beach Inn recently started offering "meditastings" in the private Carbon Beach Club dining room, where sippers are guided by "award-winning thought leader and intuitive coach Cassandra Bodzak" on a meditation-based intake of Henriot Champagnes. The experience combines tasting directions with mindfulness techniques and meditation as Bodzak ushers guests into "a higher place of mindfulness, tranquility, and serenity." Reaching Champagne-nirvana takes roughly one hour and can be done for up to four people per room. Available to hotel guests only for $600 plus room rate."
Clear as a champagne flute? Even if you don't totally get it, you've gotta admit these photos (shot by yours truly) are pretty fire.
