 It was COVID. Their venue changed. A lot of plans changed. But one thing that didn't change was the fact that Joel and Claire were definitely going to say their vows and dance the night away surrounded by family and friends. So happy for these two and their love story!

These Agoura Hills headshots were for yoga and meditation instructor Brian Hyman. Regardless of the industry, it's always a good idea to update headshots every two to three years. You can find Brian's meditations on Insight Timer. Thanks for hanging out Brian!
   This sweet family's Malibu beach portraits came at just the right time. Brayden was born the first week of COVID, in isolation, and Kalei missed out on maternity photos and newborn photos. So these photos of 6-month-old Brayden are particularly special because they are his first photo shoot! And that face... what a sweet little nugget!
I loved spending a lovely golden hour with these three at El Matador, capturing a few special moments as a family. And this session was particularly special because Kalei and David are also engaged to be married next year! They hadn't shot engagement photos yet, so this session doubled as engagement pics (with the cutest little plus one ever). Congratulations Kalei and David! You have so much to be grateful for and excited about, and I'm glad that you can now treasure these sweet moments forever. 
You know what makes a worldwide pandemic a little happier? A WEDDING! Amy and Vic picked a special date (10-10-2020) for their wedding and they were determined to say their vows, come hell or high water. And you know what happened? It was incredible. The venue changed locations three times, but ultimately this Moor Park garden wedding was SO perfect and droolworthy. Congrats Amy and Vic! May all the joy and blessings be yours in the months and years to come.

Here's an awesome idea: shoot photos the day before (or the day after) your wedding, with no time pressure and the option to move the shoot to a truly epic natural location. That's what Josh and Andy did and the results are amazing! These two guys planned their backyard wedding at home on a Sunday and their portraits with me in Malibu the day before. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know them and begin their celebration a day early. These guys leveled up the style factor of their Point Dume wedding photos by renting a vintage car to incorporate in the shots.
Natalie's Malibu senior pictures occurred during a strange season in life. Remember COVID? (Oh yeah... it's still happening...) Her senior year got cut short. Her freshman year went online. So call these senior pictures, grad pictures, freshman pictures, COVID pictures. Whatever, it all happened in Malibu and Natalie is off the charts.
Westlake Village Brand Photography | Irina Koundelova Life Coaching Brand Photos and Headshots10/6/2020
In planning for Irina's brand content creation sessions, we talked about what she needed these images for: headshots, social media, website story telling. She wanted the images to be evergreen (capable to be used year round) and have plenty of variety so they didn't look like they were all shot on the same day. We opted for 2 days of shooting and 3 locations: the beach, her coworking space, and her home.
Irina creates videos and does in person and virtual coaching, so these images are the foundation for her online courses and storytelling through social media and her newsletter. She wanted the images to represent a balance of professionalism and freedom, approachability and inspiration. Loads of useful content in here to keep her awesome energy and momentum going!
These beachy El Matador engagement photos knocked it out of the park! Mostly because Jon and Kathleen are gorgeous and funny and ultra-compatible, but also a little bit because the golden sunsets in October in Malibu are legendary. So just in case you've ever wondered what it's like to be gorgeous and in love and also lucky (these kids scored a beautiful low tide sunset), just ask Jon and Kathleen.
