Playdates L.A. is a brand new service that coordinates exciting and whimsical adventures for children on the west side. As the company is still in its infancy, it's important to tell some beautiful stories with pictures before the fun begins in real life. These 3 siblings patiently allowed me to capture some moments from a family outing to a beach side park in sun-drenched Venice, California.

When Friday the 13th rolls around and it's going to be a full moon... it's time to throw a party. Here's the publicity for lululemon athletica Westlake's recent Friday the 13th Full Moon Trail Run. Thanks to some vintage-inspired art nouveau event branding and a nimble integrated marketing campaign (print, digital and good old word of mouth) a howlin' good time was had by all 100 night owls who showed up to pound out 4 miles of running the nearby Skeleton Canyon Trail in the light of the full moon.

Pepperdine students are visionaries. A small group of them got together last year and decided Pepperdine needed an inclusive worship gathering that celebrates everything we have in common and brings all the glory to God. All Sons & Daughters showed up and so did God.
The event organizers asked for video coverage and I snapped some stills too.

Workouts + a good cause: a match made in heaven

While the students of Malibu High School were on spring break, thieves broke into their weight facility and stole thousands of dollars worth of barbells, weights, kettlebells and other equipment.
Together with CrossFit Malibu and a bunch of awesome local sponsors, Dusty Breeding planned a Saturday morning fundraiser workout to raise money to replace the equipment that was lost.
Once local businesses caught wind of the event, everyone showed up to support in some way. West Pac Designs donated 50 t-shirts to the first 50 participants to register. Lululemon athletica Westlake donated some gear to raffle off. CrossFit Malibu generously hosted the event, which drew 80+ participants and prompted a write up in the Malibu Times. Thanks everyone for the support!
