I am a one-woman creative house. I split my time between Malibu, CA and Austin, TX. I work with clients around the world in-person and virtually.

Hi I'm Cecily. I'm the human behind the camera and the laptop screen. Basically, I'm a digital media generalist. I've been doing this for over a decade and I've picked up loads of skills over the years.

Sometimes I use a variety of skills and tools in my toolkit to help a client with a project (such as branding, headshots, website development and print design) and sometimes I apply just one of those skills, such as when snapping beautiful family pictures or overhauling a slide deck.

10 fast facts

I love lifting weights and pushing my limits through fitness challenges. I'm a certified CrossFit and group exercise coach and when I'm not snapping pictures or building a website, you can usually find me sweating with Dusty at the local CrossFit gym.
I started freelancing in 2011 because I wanted to do something different every day. Years later, that is still true and I love every second of it. If you're reading this and you're a budding freelancer, PLEASE shoot me an email or a text any time you have questions. The thing I love almost as much as doing what I love every day is helping others do the same.
During COVID I became obsessed with plants and acquired over 40 new house plants during the course of the lockdown year. Reorganizing my house to accommodate for so many new green inhabitants took many hours.
Goal-setting is a practice that helped me grow and succeed as a freelancer. Sharing about goal-setting and other skills that help entrepreneurs grow and serve their clients is a side project I share with my husband, Dusty. You can learn more about our work over at Skull & Bones Society >>
I am a double Pepperdine grad (BA 2010 & MA 2018) and a proud wave for life.
I'm a little grungy and I'm happiest in the backcountry with a heavy pack strapped to my shoulders, or boondocking on the road with Dusty. I've been to 49 countries and counting.
My number one strength is positivity, I'm super energetic and outgoing, and I laugh a lot. I hate going to sleep. (which is probably why I need yoga...)
Yoga and mindfulness are a very important part of my life. I have practiced yoga since I was 18, and been teaching since I was 25.
In August 2021, my husband and I started a new adventure and moved into an RV full time. The choice was the realization of over a decade of dreaming about this kind of lifestyle and we finally pulled the trigger.
In 2024, my husband and I bought a house in Texas and now we split our time between Austin, TX, and Malibu, CA. I shoot locally in both cities.
