Patrick and Valerie eloped on the beach in Los Angeles. Well... sort of. They actually eloped kind of accidentally in one of the most beautiful and posh hotels on the beach in Santa Monica. Here's the story:

Patrick and Valerie stayed the night at the Casa del Mar Hotel in Santa Monica, CA. They fully intended to just walk out onto the sand and say their vows, snap a few photos with me, and be done with it. But after getting dressed up, the hotel security guard just let them (and me, and the officiant) into the gazillion-dollar ballroom. Turns out a wedding dress is basically a carte blanche. Fifteen minutes later, these two were hitched!

Macalee & Blaze and their fur baby, Lace, wanted to wish friends and family a Merry Christmas in true California fashion by rubbing in the fact that it's still 70° in November and the sun sets over the beach like this every. single. day. WOW.

I had a great time scrambling all over the rocks and trails at Point Dume with Macalee & Blaze. Merry Christmas to you both and let's play again soon!

Casey & Taylor's Evergreen Gardens Wedding, Bellingham, WA | 08-08-15

These two college sweethearts met at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, taught English together in China, got married in Bellingham, Washington, and honeymooned in Argentina. Obviously they love adventuring together!

Their August wedding was at Evergreen Gardens (www.evergreengardensweddings.com) on the evening of a beautiful Pacific Northwest day.

So many personal thoughts and touches went into the creation of Casey & Taylor's special day. Rachel, one of the bridesmaids, made Casey's one of a kind dress by hand. Another bridesmaid did Casey's hair and make up. I even got to try my hand at flower arranging by helping make the bouquets and boutonnieres with Casey's family!

Thank you Casey & Taylor for including me in your special day and giving me a reason to visit northern Washington!

Michael & Katie Harri | almost a year married!

Michael and Katie Harri got married almost a year ago, but I'm pretty sure in 50 years they'll still be acting like newlyweds! We were all in the mountains together last week, so the Harris graciously agreed to let me follow them around for a few moments just before the sun dipped behind the horizon.
