Hannah and Nate's Malibu engagement photo session was so special because I've known Hannah for years! It was such a treat to meet Nate for the first time and get to know him and hear a bit about their story. Their wedding is coming up this June at Malibu West Beach Club (my fave venue!) and I'm so excited to document their special day at the beach.
Engaged couples take note: Hannah and Nate listened to the advice I usually give couples to "dress up more than you think you should" and here they are looking glam and gorgeous! I know sometimes it might feel silly to wear a gown or dress clothes out on the hiking trail, but I promise the photos will be stunning and the final product will be worth it!
This girl!!! WHUT. She smiles, she glows, she smolders, she slays. She set my camera on fire with her laughter AND her beauty. I may be dating myself here but I've known Bri since she was 10 (maybe even longer), so to get to snap pictures of her as a senior in high school, as a full-grown adult is just blowing my mind. And she totally owned it, as you'll see in these photos. I loved this session because her sisters and mama (those Plank women are thick as thieves) came along to her session to, well, hype her off camera, and then jump in a few sisters-and-mama portraits that are legit going to wind up in all their cell phone lock screen backgrounds (and in framed prints on their walls).
Thanks Bri for thinking of me to document these sweet, beautiful, meaningful moments in your exciting life! I can't wait to see what adventures are in store for you in the next chapter.
In a family of six, there are no fewer than 15 individual relationships (mom with each of the kids, dad each each of the kids, each of the kids with each other, and so forth). That's 15 ways to make one another laugh. Fifteen ways to know how to bug your sister. Fifteen ways to make mommy smile. Fifteen sets of memories, secret handshakes, hand-me-downs, nicknames and made up languages (or maybe that's just the twins).
What a beautiful morning this was, at Malibu Creek State Park, to snap shots of just a few of these moments and relationships between all the members of the amazing Jackson family.
I love every shoot I do, but I give extra kudos and gold stars to a couple who will wake up on a weekend morning for a SUNRISE photo session. One dewy Sunday morning in February, Caitlin, Joshua, and I got our boots soaking wet and our hearts full with this dreamy Malibu Creek State Park engagement photo session. Can't wait for more of their giggly sweetness at their wedding this June!
