Socal Teen Camp is an awesome Christian summer camp for teens around Southern California that takes place every year in Idyllwild, California. Socal Teen Camp needed a summer camp website designed that communicated information about the logistics of camp, captured camper registrations and payments, and allowed the camp directors to broadcast important information such as packing lists, last minute announcements, and more. Check out this awesome summer camp website in action here >> or scroll down to scope out the home page.
King Construction is a local Malibu builder who meticulously crafts fine living spaces from scratch or remodels from an existing plan. They needed a website to showcase their beautiful work, tell their 40-year story, and explain the services they offer.
What I developed was a beautiful Squarespace website that invites site visitors into easy-to-navigate galleries for virtual tours of the many homes King Construction has built. Check out the welcome page and Homes page below, or visit the King Construction website live over at www.webuildmalibu.com Thousand Oaks family photos at home during COVID! Baby Claire was born at the very beginning of the pandemic (can you imagine?!?) and mama Alex missed out on newborn photos. BUT she didn't miss out on a sweet set of family photos with little Claire making allll the googly giggly baby noises and smiles. I'm so pleased with how these family photos at home turned out. Hanging out in the backyard enjoying one anothers' company. It just doesn't get better than this.
Daniel hit the ball out of the park with this Malibu proposal to Erica. Under the ruse of celebrating her college graduation, he bought her a new dress and made plans for brunch in Malibu and a fun day out. The one thing he left out? A clifftop proposal at Point Dume. She was surprised but held it together long enough to say YES, as I kept snapping photos in the bushes. Congratulations, Daniel and Erica, on this beautiful moment and big decision to spend the rest of your life together!
Malibu Beach Proposal Photographer | Blair Proposes to Kristina at El Matador Beach Photos6/12/2020
I'm loving these photos of Blair's proposal to Kristina at the beach in Malibu! The two were on vacation (from the east coast), and had scheduled a photo shoot under the guise of maternity photos at the beach. The two are expecting their first child in a couple months, and this vacation was their "babymoon." Kristina knew about the photoshoot, but she didn't know about the surprise proposal. It was the perfect guise to get her all dressed up at this beautiful location and let the magic ensue.

These sweet Runyon Canyon maternity photos were so much fun to plan and create together with Danie and Tony. In some ways, COVID has narrowed down our collective focus by decreasing our access to gatherings and people. And in other ways it has broadened our focus, by introducing us to people we wouldn’t otherwise have met. Like Danie and Tony. They moved to Los Angeles a month before COVID hit, and knew almost no one. In a new house, with a new baby on the way, they waited. And waited. The world around them was changing and they hadn’t even had the chance to get their feet under them.
When they reached out to me (connected through another client of mine), they suggested Runyon Canyon because it’s around the corner from their home… but they’d never been there because of the lockdown! It was so much fun to explore the trails and views on this moody misty June morning, as a first time for all of us! Congratulations to Danie and Tony as you prepare and welcome Baby Matilda into this world very soon! It was so much fun to build this website for Malibu yoga teacher Natalie Backman! Natalie teaches a light-hearted and soulful practice that fluidly evokes the calming effects of the ocean. So what better place to photograph her work than at the world-famous El Matador Beach!
Natalie's website is based on beautiful photos and cheerful pops of yellow to invite website visitors to subscribe to her newsletter, sign up for virtual classes, and learn more about her international yoga retreats. With class descriptions and links to her recorded classes on YouTube, this website connects Natalie's social media presence with her home on the web. Check out the home page in detail below or click here to view the live website and click around between the pages >> It was an honor to develop this beautiful and functional website for one of Malibu's beloved yoga teachers. Namaste Natalie!! ** The website was built using Wix, one of the many browser-based website builders that I use. My philosophy for building websites is that you (the owner) should feel comfortable making updates and simple edits (think text and images) to the website and not need to hire me for every little update need. To that end, every website project I do concludes with a "pass off" meeting during which I screen share with you and show you the nuts and bolts of logging in, posting to your blog (if your website has a blog), and making basic edits. If you're in need of a brand new website or long overdue for some edits to your existing website, shoot me an email and let's talk >> [email protected] Erin and Jordan's Malibu engagement photos were so much fun! If you can believe it, these pics took place on a June evening, despite all the moody fog in the air.
I can't decide whether Erin Is a woodland nymph or a vampire-vibe fairytale princess, which I suppose makes Jordan either a demi-god or a mod Prince Charming, respectively. Either way, the likelihood of a talking animal sidekick is 11/10. As if this love story didn't already resemble a fairytale, Jordan proposed with Disney mouse ears... and I'm not crying, you're crying. John Brenkus, former host of ESPN's Sport Science, is working on an exciting new project: Soul & Science. In each episode, Brenkus explores the intangible (soul) and tangible (science) aspects of elite human performance and beyond.
Soul & Science needed a home on the web to compile Brenkus' growing body of work, and this is that website (below). Click over to www.soulandscience.com >> or browse the home page here. |
