Stephanie Moustakas' line of fine, quality, but oh-so-wearable jewelry is going to take the moms on the go world by storm. But first, she needed a ton of great product and lifestyle images to round out her website. Using the backdrop of her home, her sample pieces, and her kiddos (when they were in the mood) we shot a heap of images that will live on her website as category images, headers, and social media content to get this jewelry line launched right. When the Honey & Oak team reached out to me with a concept for an online boutique that changes product & theme every month, I was hooked. Their concept is simple and elegant: a limited selection of one-of-a-kind handmade or found (curated) items. Each collection is cohesive and fits the overall theme, which changes seasonally. Take a look at Honey & Oak's home page now... you never know what you might find!

On a beautiful weekday morning, I met Jenna & Ryan, founders of Pure Trade Projects, and models Abby & Cameron in the Malibu Bluffs parking lot. They had a bag full of beautiful handmade beanies and hands full of coffee. ^^ Check out these photos in action on Pure Trade Project's website.
Another month, another beautifully styled photo shoot filled with one-of-a-kind pieces from Honey & Oak. If you haven't seen their work yet, Honey & Oak is an artist collective based in Santa Barbara, California. Each month, their artists make, find & curate pieces that will make your world a little more whimsical and beautiful.
Part location scouting opportunity, part portfolio builder, part networking time. A styled shoot is the photographer's version of a professional development day. Enjoy these images from a recent styled shoot with a bunch of camera-ready models, mind-blowing golden light, and crunchy fall leaves and grasses in Palo Comado Canyon.
I had a great time shooting October product photography for the launch of Honey & Oak, a women-owned artist collective that offers a monthly rotation of handmade, found, curated objects that fit a soulful, nature-guided theme.
One is a fresh, local, SoCal caterer and the other is an equally fresh, equally local, line of sweat pants. Together, Farm & Flame and Plain made a magical launch party happen last weekend in Malibu. With the usual mix of neighbors, surfers, families and a couple A-listers-next-door, we toasted the launch of two creative, lady-boss-led companies right here in our backyard. My faves? The classic "No Strings Attached" sweatpant in gray, the Malibu Mary bloodys, the Brussels & Belly Skewers (you'll know them when you see them), the front yard setting, the brand new Farm & Flame food truck, and all the pretty afternoon light that showed up to make it all glow just so. I can't think of a better combination of companies to represent what we value most about our Malibu lifestyle than the food we love and the clothes we live in. Cheers to you both and thanks for letting me capture it!
Like these? I love shooting events!... But keep in mind I'll probably wind up dancing at your after party or becoming best friends with your mom. If you're cool with that, shoot me an email. Also check out these other events I've covered.
