Potter Family Portraits | El Matador State Beach, Malibu, CA

Lincoln is 6 months old! I can't believe how quickly time passes. It seems like only yesterday that I was shooting sweet 2-month portraits at home of little Lincoln and his adoring parents. Now he's practically driving!

For this shoot, we met at El Matador State Beach on a sunny Sunday afternoon to explore the sea caves and get our feet wet in the surf. Lincoln was a good sport the whole time, even when the sun got in his eyes.

Nathan & Kierstyn | Christ Community Church Wedding Photography | Laguna Hills, Calif. | 11-7-15

Nathan & Kierstyn are some of the best dancers I've ever seen! Their beautiful wedding took place at Christ Community Church in Laguna Hills, California, on a sunny November evening. With so many amazing siblings and family members present, everyone couldn't wait to get the music turned up and spend the rest of the party on the dance floor!

After the traditional ceremony in the church sanctuary, the newlywed couple, the bridal party, groomsmen and I all drove down the street to a beautiful local park filled with leafy trees, bridges, and dreamy golden light.

Malibu is no ordinary beach town, and lululemon athletica is no ordinary yoga apparel retailer. Just 2 weeks out from opening weekend, the lululemon Malibu store team hosted a community campout to do what we do best: play in and around the ocean. We pitched tents on the sand at Thornhill Broome, embraced the challenge of a mystery sunset hike, spent the evening laughing and swapping stories around the campfire, and closed off the event with some morning beach yoga.

Can't wait for the next event!

Casey & Taylor's Evergreen Gardens Wedding, Bellingham, WA | 08-08-15

These two college sweethearts met at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, taught English together in China, got married in Bellingham, Washington, and honeymooned in Argentina. Obviously they love adventuring together!

Their August wedding was at Evergreen Gardens (www.evergreengardensweddings.com) on the evening of a beautiful Pacific Northwest day.

So many personal thoughts and touches went into the creation of Casey & Taylor's special day. Rachel, one of the bridesmaids, made Casey's one of a kind dress by hand. Another bridesmaid did Casey's hair and make up. I even got to try my hand at flower arranging by helping make the bouquets and boutonnieres with Casey's family!

Thank you Casey & Taylor for including me in your special day and giving me a reason to visit northern Washington!
