These Hermosa Beach park photos are just too cute for words! With little Micah just arrived one week previous, these photos were the perfect moment to welcome him into the world and introduce him to family and friends around the country who had yet to meet him. What a sweet little peanut! We had the best time exploring around the pond and under the trees at Polliwog Park in Hermosa Beach, on a softly lit late summer afternoon. Congratulations to these first time parents! And if Christy and Darin look familiar, it's because their beautiful Point Dume maternity photos happened just a few weeks before Micah arrived (funny how that happens...)
   These Palos Verdes family photos were so much fun! Mama Kate had the brilliant idea to snap her maternity photos at home in the morning, with a relaxed, intimate vibe. Then we transitioned to family and maternity photos at St. Francis Church in Palos Verdes. Both spots were in the morning, so even though we shot during an August heat wave, the air was still cool and fresh. I love the way these photos really bring out the personalities of each family member, and the authentic connection they have as they wait for their baby girl to arrive any day now.

 These Pepperdine senior photos are knocking my socks off! Pepperdine is beautiful, Malibu is beautiful, and the hiking trail on the ridgeline above campus, with its view of both campus and the sweeping coastline of Malibu is off the charts. Congratulations to Sam, as she steps out into the world after college! I'm so glad you took the moment to capture these graduation photos in Malibu, before leaving town, so you could always remember the place where you grew and changed during college.
 Pepperdine's Caruso School of Law is a top-ranked institution located in a world-famous city. Together with the law school's marketing team, I shot many of the photos that adorn this issue of The Brief, Pepperdine Law's periodical. In order to evoke an elegant balance of slick professionalism and approachable humanity, we set up several shoots both on campus and around Malibu over the course of several days. The intention of the project was to capture the student experience inside and outside the classroom, as well as the top-level scholarship and professional chops that make this institution so special.

These Malibu family photos were so dreamy and filled with breezy laughter. I loved shooting at Leo Carrillo, where the sweeping clifftop views and hidden details of the many pocket beaches allow for unlimited exploring for curious kiddos.
This El Matador beach family photo session was just the right mix of energetic big brother, sweet twin sisters, and everyone super excited to welcome a new baby into the world. Congratulations to the awesome Piippo family as you away the arrival of little Number Four!
