A Pepperdine student club needed headshots for their members, as a value-add. These photos will serve as LinkedIn headshots, resumé headshots, or just a great asset to have on hand as they pursue their professional development.
In this particular case, the photos were shot indoors, after dark, so I augmented the lighting situation with studio lights and a flash to make for clean coloring and even skin tones. These family photos at home in Agoura Hills are particularly special because the Fahy family are a one in a million family.... no, really. They just had their second set of twins. (Naturally, I might add.) Sure, the odds might have been with them because both mom and dad are themselves twins, but it's still pretty incredible. Two pregnancies, four kids. Where I come from I call that a bargain.
Since organizing the logistics of four children under the age of three to go anywhere requires an act of superhuman will, the Fahy's opted to have a photo session at home to commemorate the arrival of their second set of twins (Ethan and Lucy). They read books, they bounced on the bed, they tickled, they played with trucks, they got up and down and up and down with both sets of grandparents nearby. It. Was. Sheer. Joy. And as It turns out, the older twins (Henry and Theo) are already big car guys (um, so adorable) so when they heard I drive a sports car, they basically vetoed the remainder of the photo shoot so they could run out to the street (in their boots) to sit in it. (Scroll to the end for that goodness.) Pasea Hotel is a world class resort located in Huntington Beach, CA. The vibe is upscale=surfer-friendly. And if that sounds like a contradiction in terms, just imagine glancing up from your luxurious pool time (post-gastro brunch and pre-spa treatment) to see freshly used wetsuits drip-drying from the balcony railing of one of the suites. That's what I'm talking about. Located on the strip in Huntington Beach, with countless palm trees swaying in the breeze, the spacious grounds of Pasea offer plenty of hiding spots onsite, and that's not to mention the countless coffee shop and sidewalk bistro table hangs within walking distance.
And for the Angelenos who are sad they can't plan a trip to come stay at Pasea.... have you ever heard of a staycation? But don't let me try to talk you into it. See for yourself on Pasea's website >> And these photos? Just a set of gorgeous lifestyle pics for Pasea's social, web, print, and digital marketing purposes (yes, I love my job). |
