Pepperdine University Housing & Residence Life needed photography of the inside of their various apartment options available to students. The images are intended for use on the HRL website for virtual tours as well as for print promotional materials. Here's what resulted:
Do less, better.
Some advice we could all stand to listen to from time to time. Download the full-res 12" by 18" image below. Print. Post it somewhere you'll notice it. And then put it into practice. And once you figure out how to put it into practice, shoot me an email and give me some tips. I love the work I do for Made in the Streets. The organization is changing the lives of children and teens living on the streets of Nairobi and I never get tired of telling their stories in fresh ways to reach more people with the news and hope the ministry offers. In addition to their website updates and design, I help run MITS' social media accounts (mainly facebook & instagram), travel and speak at conferences on their behalf, and manage stateside relationships by hiring interns, supporting visiting groups, and helping plan their summer awareness tour, The Handmade Tour. I also design lots and lots of graphics. Here's the latest design piece, the MITS 2014-2015 Annual Report. Click through the slideshow below or view it in PDF here. Like this? Since 1993, the Malibu Community Labor Exchange (MCLE) has been changing lives in Malibu, CA. The MCLE's website had grown stale and was difficult to update. They wanted a new site that had a strong color scheme, clear organization of pages, and had something to offer their 3 target audiences: potential workers, potential hirers, and people who just want to help. The new site, with its sliding banners, clear call-to-action buttons on the home page, and simplified top navigation achieved all these goals. Additionally, this website will serve as a useful tool for collecting feedback about MCLE services from clients once the job is done. Like this? An integrated marketing campaign is just fancy lingo for creating a cohesive "family" of ads that match and play off each other across a variety of media (such as print, social media, web, digital, etc). An integrated campaign is smart because all the pieces act as a team, working toward your goal, rather than adding to the noise.
Check out more examples of design work I've done or social media posts & campaigns. Are you ready to create an integrated marketing campaign to tackle a marketing challenge in your life? Shoot me an email and let's talk strategy! I spent last weekend in Tijuana, Mexico with a light hearted crowd of college students and Malibu folks. We partnered with Amor Ministries on building a house for a family in need. The sky was unforgettable and the rain was impressive. Unsurprisingly, I spent the majority of my time playing with shutter speed and rainwater running off a roof into a puddle (scroll down). More pictures/info about the house build trip here. I take lots of pictures! Check out more lifestyle photography here or shoot me an email to see a rate sheet.
