Oh this sweet growing family of almost four! And what a lovely purple, gold, and peach sunset to serve as the backdrop for these beachy family photos. These snaps here are documenting the brief days before Baby Luke made his entrance into the world. Back when big brother Isaiah still wasn't entirely sure what it meant to be a big brother. I'm so glad I got to spend this sunset with the Begert family, when Isaiah was the only One and the whole world was waiting for little Two.
Malibu Beach Proposal Photography | Bray and Taylor at El Matador Proposal and Engagement Photos1/25/2020
This Malibu beach proposal was about as picture perfect as you can possibly get. With a hazy golden sunset and a troop of family members flown in *surprise* from the east coast, to celebrate the moment when Taylor said yes when Bray asked the most important question of both their lives. With a little planning ahead (making sure they knew and I knew where to stand), we pulled off these beautiful photos of the moment and the aftermath, with all the hugs, kisses, and champagne toasts from beloved family.
And I even got to take 20 to sneak these two away for a couples-only session to snap a set of photos for their invitations, frames, wedding website, etc. Congratulations, Bray and Taylor, on your engagement! Korey and Bev are engaged!!!! And we snapped these awesome sunset beach engagement photos at El Matador State Beach on a gorgeous January evening a few months before their wedding. I'm so excited to photograph Korey and Bev's wedding in March.
Getting away from the bustle of modern life and unplugging from technology is an important self care activity for any college student. To that end, Pepperdine University's chaplain plans an annual spiritual life retreat for students to unplug and recharge before the spring semester gets underway.
These photos serve to tell the story of the Unplugged Retreat, so students in future years understand what to expect and how the experience will impact them beyond the confines of the weekend. Alex and Abdul's Cambria elopement photos are beautiful because their wedding day was so special and full of meaningful family moments. On a sandy beach, in a circle of parents and siblings, the two of them pledged the rest of their lives to one another. And the rest of the evening was a better-than-Thanksgiving homemade feast shared on the back deck of their house overlooking the sunset and it was pretty much the greatest thing ever.
