I don't know where to even begin talking about the dynamic, energetic, authentic, inspirational couple that is Hannah and Ford. Individually, they are both trusted friends, admired leaders, and all-out adventurers. Together, they are an unstoppable force and their marriage is going to be one of those matches that makes people believe in love all over again.
Wedding date: December 29, 2016 Getting ready: Malibu West Beach Club First look and family portraits: Peter Strauss Ranch Ceremony and reception: Malibu West Beach Club Due to logistics, Hannah & Ford's engagement shoot occurred in the same month as their wedding (which I also shot). But this dreamy sunrise shoot and canyon setting certainly didn't feel redundant. This shoot was great practice for Hannah & Ford to be comfortable kissing on camera and for me to get to know their couple chemistry. Because winter and fall are basically combined in a golden four-month period in southern California, this shoot has a warm autumn feel to it (though the actual date was in December).
And just a couple short weeks later, Hannah was in her dress just a few miles away, getting ready to walk down the aisle. When the Honey & Oak team reached out to me with a concept for an online boutique that changes product & theme every month, I was hooked. Their concept is simple and elegant: a limited selection of one-of-a-kind handmade or found (curated) items. Each collection is cohesive and fits the overall theme, which changes seasonally. Take a look at Honey & Oak's home page now... you never know what you might find!

Happy 15-Year Anniversary to the Dorans! | Malibu Anniversary Portraits at El Matador State Beach12/1/2016
I can't wait until I've been married for 15 years. But until then, I'll just have to keep hanging out with other couples who have!
I'm starting to like this family-photos-at-home thing and I really hope it's going to become a trend. Read the rest of this post to see the sweetness of the Collins' family's 6am home session, featuring snuggles, scratch-made pancakes, a few tears, Curious George, and some back porch truck driving.
