Michael and Katie Harri got married almost a year ago, but I'm pretty sure in 50 years they'll still be acting like newlyweds! We were all in the mountains together last week, so the Harris graciously agreed to let me follow them around for a few moments just before the sun dipped behind the horizon.

Students who participate in Pepperdine University's international programs are in for the ride of their lives. Usually they are challenged more, stretched more, changed more than any year of their short lives up until that point. The stories students tell when they return home are tales of skydiving, hitchhiking, train hopping and cliff jumping. But that's just what happens on the weekends.
The students don't always talk about what happens between Monday and Thursday every week. That's school, life, making decisions, facing adulthood, and dealing with the junk life throws at you. That's the story this video needed to tell. I invited a handful of students, fresh from their year abroad, to sit down with me on a Saturday morning, and respond to one simple question, "How did you grow?" This is what they said.

I've helped a few boyfriends propose, but this was the first time I got to hide in the rocks and shoot some pictures of the big moment! Spencer was supposed to be out of town and Elam hadn't seen him all summer long. I was coming over for a hang out at her apartment (which is right on the beach) but I "got lost" and asked her to come help me find the apartment entrance from the beach. She ran out to look for me but found the love of her life instead! Spoiler alert: she said yes! I'm SO excited for Spencer and Elam to get married! They're already an amazing couple and I know they'll be one of those couples that makes marriage look awesome. The world needs more of that!
