Cambria's author headshots and brand images are intended to help her tell her story online. We planned a shoot that features her versatility with a variety of outfits and settings. The goal was to create images that don't all look like they were shot on one day and are evergreen so she can post and share them along with her social media content all year round.

Brittany is up to big things in the real estate world! You can learn more about her background on the Bigger Pockets podcast (started investing in real estate at 18 and DIY-ed her way through renovation after renovation) and now regularly speaks on the big stages at real estate investor conventions. She's the real deal and she generously shares tips, education, and encouragement through her social accounts. That's where this photoshoot comes in. It takes a lot of behind the scenes work to keep cranking out quality content in the form of posts, reels, and stories. So Brittany and I worked together to plan an epic day of content creation. In one afternoon, she and I, together with one epic house in Malibu, and a pile of outfit changes banked loads of quality high resolution photos (mostly for stills, posts, and stories) as well as plenty of video content (shot on iPhone because it's all about hitting the easy button!). A brand photo-video session like this is essential for any content creator to develop a library of quality, relevant images that you can use year round for a variety of purposes. A series of quality images for the artistic and wildly talented Ryan Board. Shot on location at the Adamson House in Malibu, California.
Nichole is a therapist, coach, and somatic counselor based in the bay area and working with clients around the world. She creates videos, works with clients remotely, and blogs on her website www.nicholeproffitt.com For her brand photo session, she primarily needed images to use on her website. Even more than standard headshots, she needed images that introduce her to her clientele and represent the sort of work she does, ultimately attracting the right clients for her. We decided to shoot in a variety of settings, all in one day: a sidewalk cafe, a hiking trail, and a beachfront walking park. She brought props and outfit changes and a friend and we all had a great time producing beautiful images that Nichole will use for years to come! These Agoura Hills headshots were for yoga and meditation instructor Brian Hyman. Regardless of the industry, it's always a good idea to update headshots every two to three years. You can find Brian's meditations on Insight Timer. Thanks for hanging out Brian!
Natalie's Malibu senior pictures occurred during a strange season in life. Remember COVID? (Oh yeah... it's still happening...) Her senior year got cut short. Her freshman year went online. So call these senior pictures, grad pictures, freshman pictures, COVID pictures. Whatever, it all happened in Malibu and Natalie is off the charts.
Westlake Village Brand Photography | Irina Koundelova Life Coaching Brand Photos and Headshots10/6/2020
In planning for Irina's brand content creation sessions, we talked about what she needed these images for: headshots, social media, website story telling. She wanted the images to be evergreen (capable to be used year round) and have plenty of variety so they didn't look like they were all shot on the same day. We opted for 2 days of shooting and 3 locations: the beach, her coworking space, and her home.
Irina creates videos and does in person and virtual coaching, so these images are the foundation for her online courses and storytelling through social media and her newsletter. She wanted the images to represent a balance of professionalism and freedom, approachability and inspiration. Loads of useful content in here to keep her awesome energy and momentum going! I'm all heart eyes over Sasha's senior photos, shot right here in the hills of Malibu, California, where she grew up, made friends, and learned to play soccer before moving across the country to play college soccer.
We started out with a few more classic, garden-style portraits in Sasha's backyard in Malibu, then we walked over to the hiking trails overlooking her house and the surrounding coastline, where we marveled at the beautiful golden hues of the setting sun. A Pepperdine student club needed headshots for their members, as a value-add. These photos will serve as LinkedIn headshots, resumé headshots, or just a great asset to have on hand as they pursue their professional development.
In this particular case, the photos were shot indoors, after dark, so I augmented the lighting situation with studio lights and a flash to make for clean coloring and even skin tones. |
