Okay, I know it's not cool to brag, but this maternity photoshoot with the Thomases represents a first for me:
across the country
from New Jersey
for this photoshoot
I still can't believe it. They wanted to do a photo shoot, they looked around (on Instagram, I might add, where there are countless other worthy and talented photographers), they saw my work and liked it and decided they wanted to invest in the cross-country travel (from New Jersey) to have a photo session at El Matador with me. To say I felt both honored and unworthy at the same time would be a contradictory but totally accurate statement.
After I learned they traveled for the express purpose of this shoot, I was determined to make it knock their socks off. And it did.
We shot at the world-famous, always photo-worthy, and always crowded El Matador State Beach. So why, you ask, are there no human beings in sight in the Thomas' photos? Because we shot at sunrise (didn't I say this couple is cool?!) We also shot this session right in the midst of the scare before the coronavirus shutdown, so I'm so glad this maternity session was scheduled for the day it was and not a week later..... then this gorgeousness might not have happened.
Like these? I LOVE photographing meaningful moments with couples who are expecting a new addition to the family. These moments are so beautiful and fleeting and it's super important to document them before they're gone. Shoot me an email to discuss dates! >> firstname.lastname@example.org
