This creative, thoughtful, high-touch leadership development company needed a website just as hand-crafted and artful as the services they provide. We opted to use Wix's platform to develop this website because of all the creative control it gives in the design and creation process.
The website features a wild use of color and texture through organic shapes and soft curving lines. We used bold color and text where necessary to convey mastery and trust. We used photos (with color overlays to keep with the color palette) to convey the human element. The custom logo also evokes playfulness combined with sleek minimalist professionalism through the use of soft lines and whimsical shapes together with a strong typeface. Check out the website live to see how we integrated movement to further utilize the layered beauty of the website's elements.
Check out this beautiful home on the web for this Texas-based life coach. I've noticed that many coaches and therapists don't know where to start when they begin offering their services to the world. Is it on socials? Is it an email? Is it a website?
I find that a website is a great place to start for several reasons. 1) Think of a website as you online 24-hour marketing team that tells the world what you do, even while you sleep. 2) Getting words organized on a website is a great way to help you tighten up your branding and marketing message. Specifically articulating what you offer and what problems those products/services solve is an essential stage in developing your business. A website will help you do just that. 3) A website is an advocate. It makes you look like a legit company. Once you have a website, you're not just some guy or gal doing this hustle on the side. You've gone pro, and you're charging for it. Check out Matt Soper's coaching website at sopercoaching.com >> Website designed and built using Weebly. Brand and social content shoot for real estate investor, Brittany Arnason (@investorgirlbritt on Instagram)
Brittany is up to big things in the real estate world! You can learn more about her background on the Bigger Pockets podcast (started investing in real estate at 18 and DIY-ed her way through renovation after renovation) and now regularly speaks on the big stages at real estate investor conventions. She's the real deal and she generously shares tips, education, and encouragement through her social accounts. That's where this photoshoot comes in. It takes a lot of behind the scenes work to keep cranking out quality content in the form of posts, reels, and stories. So Brittany and I worked together to plan an epic day of content creation. In one afternoon, she and I, together with one epic house in Malibu, and a pile of outfit changes banked loads of quality high resolution photos (mostly for stills, posts, and stories) as well as plenty of video content (shot on iPhone because it's all about hitting the easy button!). A brand photo-video session like this is essential for any content creator to develop a library of quality, relevant images that you can use year round for a variety of purposes. Westlake Village Physical Therapist Photographer | Dr. Brett's Sports Therapy Brand Photography8/18/2022
This physical therapist and sports recovery office in Westlake Village, CA, needed some new images to refresh their website and tell the story of the many excellent services and people involved with their business. On a busy weekday, I showed up and documented Brett's staff and a few willing regular clients as they ran through a typical range of services. In 2 hours we covered a mix of facility photography (details and wide shots), lifestyle (clients in action), editorial images (useful for banner images and evergreen promo pieces), and headshots of the whole team. If you are an athlete near Westlake Village, give Dr. Brett's Sports Therapy a shout. Is photography like this what your business needs to keep telling a great story and attract your ideal clients? Pasea Hotel and Spa's annual Easter brunch is a must-go event for the whole family (if you want to meet a human-sized Easter bunny, that is).
Nichole is a therapist, coach, and somatic counselor based in the bay area and working with clients around the world. She creates videos, works with clients remotely, and blogs on her website www.nicholeproffitt.com For her brand photo session, she primarily needed images to use on her website. Even more than standard headshots, she needed images that introduce her to her clientele and represent the sort of work she does, ultimately attracting the right clients for her. We decided to shoot in a variety of settings, all in one day: a sidewalk cafe, a hiking trail, and a beachfront walking park. She brought props and outfit changes and a friend and we all had a great time producing beautiful images that Nichole will use for years to come! Being an Orange County hotel photographer has its perks... like great views of the ocean, balconies overlooking the pool, and steaming mugs of black coffee enjoyed for hours in downstairs lobby nooks. Someone at Pasea Hotel & Spa had their thinking cap on during COVID, because they came out with the best idea of the summer: rooftop concerts, exclusively for the enjoyment of hotel guests on their balconies. All you need is a room service dessert and a glass of champagne and you have the best box seat in town for LA's up and coming talent.
Pepperdine's Caruso School of Law is a top-ranked institution located in a world-famous city. Together with the law school's marketing team, I shot many of the photos that adorn this issue of The Brief, Pepperdine Law's periodical. In order to evoke an elegant balance of slick professionalism and approachable humanity, we set up several shoots both on campus and around Malibu over the course of several days. The intention of the project was to capture the student experience inside and outside the classroom, as well as the top-level scholarship and professional chops that make this institution so special.

Socal Teen Camp is an awesome Christian summer camp for teens around Southern California that takes place every year in Idyllwild, California. Socal Teen Camp needed a summer camp website designed that communicated information about the logistics of camp, captured camper registrations and payments, and allowed the camp directors to broadcast important information such as packing lists, last minute announcements, and more. Check out this awesome summer camp website in action here >> or scroll down to scope out the home page.
