Calamigos Ranch Wedding Photos | Erin and Jordan Wedding at Oak Room at Calamigos Ranch Pictures5/8/2021
Congratulations Erin and Jordan on your beautiful Calamigos Ranch wedding!
There were so many thoughtful and personal details to this wedding—a family keepsake carved turtle ring box, a hand-fasting ceremony, a surprise choreographed dance with the bride and her bridesmaids, loads of nods to Harry Potter—and the Calamigos Ranch setting played the perfect backdrop to Erin and Jordan's vows and celebration as they danced the night away under the stars. Coordinator: Heather from Three Sisters Weddings Venue: Oak Room at Calamigos Ranch Officiant: Chris Stratton (family member) Food/Beverage/Catering: Calamigos Ranch Videographer: Kyle Lidtka (friend from church) DJ/Music: Kyle Mcauley, DJ Lunakye Flowers: LA Floral Couture Cake: Karma Bakery + Ralph’s Dress: BHLDN Bishoy and Sara were giddy like a couple of kids! Their beach elopement was all giggles and poetic vows and stolen kisses before the officiant even said, "You may kiss the bride!" These two are clearly twin flames who share so much love and passion for life and for one another. Bishoy and Sara, may your love burn ever brighter as you travel through the years together.
Ermygersh please just get married and do photoshoots together every day please and thank you! Zach and Elena's engagement photos at El Matador State Beach were STUNNING and I couldn't stop snapping pics even after the sunset. Truly magical.
Hannah and Nate's Malibu engagement photo session was so special because I've known Hannah for years! It was such a treat to meet Nate for the first time and get to know him and hear a bit about their story. Their wedding is coming up this June at Malibu West Beach Club (my fave venue!) and I'm so excited to document their special day at the beach.
Engaged couples take note: Hannah and Nate listened to the advice I usually give couples to "dress up more than you think you should" and here they are looking glam and gorgeous! I know sometimes it might feel silly to wear a gown or dress clothes out on the hiking trail, but I promise the photos will be stunning and the final product will be worth it! Malibu Beach Wedding Photography | El Matador Elopement Photography with Stephanie and Sean1/16/2021
Malibu is a truly beautiful place to get married, and one of the most breathtaking of these locations is El Matador State Beach. With the statuesque cliffs and rock formations and crashing waves below, it is the perfect setting for an intimate vow ceremony or elopement. Please note that Stephanie and Sean's wedding and photos occurred at low tide. These exposed boulders are not always visible at every hour of the day. (Click "Read More" to view the full gallery of Stephanie and Sean's beach elopement and photos afterward.)
Every year around the solstice, there's a SUPER low tide in Malibu that exposes beautiful Broad Beach as a shiny mirror. If you're lucky enough to have a colorful sunset on that same date, and lucky enough to plan family pictures on said date, the resulting photos are sure to be magic. I'm so glad the Schetter family (with a little planning and a little luck) got these beautiful Broad Beach Malibu family pictures to adorn their walls. (Click Read More to view their gallery.)
This girl!!! WHUT. She smiles, she glows, she smolders, she slays. She set my camera on fire with her laughter AND her beauty. I may be dating myself here but I've known Bri since she was 10 (maybe even longer), so to get to snap pictures of her as a senior in high school, as a full-grown adult is just blowing my mind. And she totally owned it, as you'll see in these photos. I loved this session because her sisters and mama (those Plank women are thick as thieves) came along to her session to, well, hype her off camera, and then jump in a few sisters-and-mama portraits that are legit going to wind up in all their cell phone lock screen backgrounds (and in framed prints on their walls).
Thanks Bri for thinking of me to document these sweet, beautiful, meaningful moments in your exciting life! I can't wait to see what adventures are in store for you in the next chapter. What a powerhouse! Congratulations to Simone, on graduating from high school and beginning of a new and exciting chapter in life. Simon's Malibu senior pictures pack as much personality, fun and creativity as Simone does. I love that she brought along a pair of sunglasses to spice up her session, and her sister (aka travel buddy and best friend) was willing to jump in for a few snaps at the end, which made it extra special.
This adventurous couple lucked out and got to shoot their engagement photos at the beach in Malibu at Point Dume's secluded hidden cove. The tide doesn't always cooperate but this time it did and we got to shoot among the rocks (and the beautiful salty spray) at sunset. After playing in the water, we hiked up to the top of the cliff for some extra special sunset views of the coastline together. Then we had a little time to finish off the shoot with some fun silhouettes with the orange and blue sunset. *chef's kiss!*
So excited for Kari and Eric to get married! Karina and Pat's backyard COVID wedding was every bit as meaningful as it was laid back. They both got ready in Karina's mother and step dad's home, and said their vows in the backyard, then proceeded to dine and toast and laugh the night away in the spacious dining area (furniture moved out of the way to accommodate tables for the feast). What a delightful celebration of love and family and laughter and commitment this was, especially in the midst of a global pandemic. I'm so grateful to have be part of it!
