The roof of the Mercedes Benz building might be the coolest spot ever for a fashion show. A beautiful sunset, starry night sky, and the perfect cool California breeze after a hot summer day. In honor of Nataline Sarkisyan, a young fashionista whose dream was to one day put on her own fashion show, the Nataline Sarkisyan Foundation hosts an annual show, complete with a runway, hot pink carpet and lots of sparkles and pearls. Proceeds from ticket sales for the event, held on Nataline's birthday each year, fund scholarships for students to study photography, fashion, or culinary arts.
In addition to Sue Wong's unforgettable gowns, models walked the runway in sporty (yes fashionable) summer outfits from lululemon athletica! Paul Mitchell supplied the make up and hair design. Sue Wong herself even showed up to pose for photos and do interviews and finally take a nice corner seat at the end of the runway. By the end of the night, I couldn't tell who had more fun: the models or the guests.
Also note to self: If you ever have a bad day, just don an exquisite gown, five-inch stilettos, and a headdress made of feathers. Automatic queen for the day.
Thanks lululemon athletica Calabasas for bringing me on board for the event!
