Pepperdine University is a world class liberal arts institution that boasts a 180 degree ocean view. Their campus housing has been voted the best in the nation over and over again. The Department of Housing and Residence Life (HRL) needed a little brand construction. We were inspired by the midwest roots of Pepperdine's founder (who made his fortune initially by starting Western Auto Supply) and put together a logo kit that pulled elements from vintage auto signs while incorporating the Pepperdine color scheme. The HRL logo is versatile and can break up into pieces based on the graphic in question while always staying recognizable. Check out examples of the HRL logo in action below.
