I'm working on a website for the Malibu Community Labor Exchange and if you've met me recently, you know I'll talk all day about the power of beautiful photography. The quality of the images on your website, social media account, or print piece can make the difference between a good marketing plan and a great one. So when I went to work on the MCLE website, one of the first things I did was shoot some stock images. Stay tuned for the new website reveal! There's more where these came from. Check out my lifestyle photography page or facebook.
Dressed2Sweat is an underground fitness gathering. The monthly event takes place in unexpected locations in and around Los Angeles. The details are kept secret until a few days before, and even then the attendees only find out where to show up and what time. They know they need to be dressed to sweat. Everything else is up for grabs. The April 2014 edition of Dressed2Sweat went down at Zuma Beach in Malibu. Between partner carries, sprinting in the soft sand and digging for treasure, participants worked up an appetite for the Mexican beer and burrito feed that followed right after. The organizers asked me to document the event in stills and video. Secretly I wanted to join a team... Dress2Sweat from Cecily Breeding on Vimeo. Not only do students at Pepperdine University get to live in the lap of luxury on a pristine Malibu beachfront campus. The school also provides the option to live in "campus" housing a short drive away on an idyllic ranch setting, complete with cows, goats, a ferris wheel, cabins, and more hiking trails than one person can conquer in a semester. The Housing staff wanted interior photos mostly, but these are some of my favorite detail "outtakes." Like these? There's more on my lifestyle photography page and facebook!
I designed these infographics for a pitch for a new program at Pepperdine University to demonstrate revenue/expenses and total income over 4 years. Like these? I design lots of infographics! Take a look at my design page or facebook for more graphic design goodness.
If you ever want to meet some people who are changing the world, head on over to www.madeinthestreets.org and marvel at their truly inspiring work. MITS is a nonprofit organization based in Nairobi, Kenya. Since 1995, MITS has been tirelessly loving and serving the homeless community of Nairobi and one by one rehabilitating children and teens who demonstrate a desire to turn their lives around. MITS already had a website when they brought me on board, but over the years I've redesigned it and updated content as needed. The site has over 50 pages, so keeping things organized and easy to navigate is important. Highlights of this site include the online store (www.madeinthestreets.org/store) and the many functional online application forms for internships. This website is so much more than an online business card. It is a member of the PR team. Click through the slideshow below to view screenshots of the site or take a look in person at www.madeinthestreets.org. I also encourage you to check out MITS' social media accounts: www.facebook.com/madeinthestreets instagram.com/madeinthestreets twitter.com/MITSKenya pinterest.com/MITSKenya Like this? Rock it 2 the Core is a Los Angeles-based movement to end human trafficking. Their signature event is an outdoor event that's part yoga, part dance party and part concert with all proceeds going to support Unlikely Heroes. They needed a website to support the event as well as the movement as it continued into the future. Click through the slides to see what I came up with or visit the site live at www.rockit2thecore.org. More websites can be viewed on my websites page.
Michelle is a Malibu-based caterer. She needed a website as a place to showcase photos of the beautiful dishes and meals she creates for audiences large and small. In addition to the photo-driven site and all the usual about/contact information, we also made space for sample menus to be downloaded. This site was created with Weebly. Click through the slideshow below or check out Michelle's website live at www.michellesmalibumeals.com. Like this? Check out the rest of the sites I've built on my websites page. If you or someone you know is ready for a new site or a redesign of an existing site, give me a shout and let's talk about it!
